Community Christmas 2023
In December 2023, we held our annual Christmas Party and in addition, in partnership with Hull CVS, we held our Community Christmas Day lunch, inviting those who are lonely, isolated or less likely to enjoy Christmas due to the cost of living, to come and enjoy the festive period with us.
The focus of our Community Christmas was to ensure that all attendees felt important and able to enjoy the festive period in a warm, community atmosphere, especially those who were most vulnerable. We welcomed the Hull FC Academy team down and some of the First team to help us serve lunch and spread some festive cheer.
In total, we welcomed over 130 people to our Christmas Party and welcomed 40 individuals on Christmas Day with a hot Christmas dinner and a small gift, and a range of festive activities, enabling all to get involved and most importantly, to have fun.
We couldn’t have delivered such extra special day without the following:
- Asda Hessle Road who donated chocolate selection boxes.
- Cassidy Sunblinds who helped us to provide food parcels for everyone who attended.
- EMS who provided our Christmas dinners and who gave up their time on Christmas day to volunteer with us.
- George Norris who helped to capture the difference we made through photography and videography.
- Hull City Council who provided a minibus and Ian who collected and dropped off guests from various locations across the city.
- Hull CVS who helped source bingo and raffle prizes.
- McCarthy Stone Foundation who helped us to provide a small present to every attendee.
- West Carr Lane Aldi who donated chocolates, biscuits and Christmas puddings.
