Governance

West Hull Community Hub holds ourselves to thorough standards and our robust policies ensure the support we offer meets the needs and expectations of the communities we serve.

Constitution

As a non-profit organisation, West Hull Community Hub is bound by our constitution which sets out our purposes, powers, membership and more. Our core aims are to improve communities across Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire by:

  • Providing social, recreational, and leisure activities tailored to older people, carers, especially those experiencing poverty or social isolation.
  • Addressing social exclusion among vulnerable groups by offering targeted support, advice, and essential resources.

Safeguarding Adults (including Prevent Duty) Policy

West Hull Community Hub recognises that safeguarding adults is a shared responsibility, which depends upon effective joint working between charitable organisations as well as agencies and professionals. Our Safeguarding Adults (including Prevent Duty) policy is one of the many policies and procedures in place to protect the communities we serve.

Safeguarding Children Policy

West Hull Community Hub is fully committed to safeguarding the welfare of all children and young people. It recognises its responsibility to take all reasonable steps to promote safe practice and to protect children from harm, abuse and exploitation. We acknowledge our duty to act appropriately to any allegations, reports or suspicions of abuse. Paid staff and volunteers will endeavour to work together to encourage the development of an ethos which embraces difference and diversity and respects the rights of children, young people and adults.
